Description:

As a Lead World Designer, your influence is central to developing a comprehensive layout that engages our worldwide players. You'll meticulously design and adjust dynamic player experiences that align with our vision, delivering unmatched gameplay moments. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team in creating impactful level design spaces that engage the players abilities, traversal and combat needs while focusing on a coherent and plausible space.   
  • Engage in meaningful dialogues with fellow designers and leadership, transforming multifaceted design concepts into actual gameplay elements. 
  • Work closely with Gameplay Leadership to bring to life designed spaces that best demonstrate and challenge the players mechanics. 
  • Collaborate with Campaign Leadership, keeping them informed about the evolving design perspectives related location construction building. 
  • Adjust and hone world building, always bearing in mind the project's timelines, technical boundaries, and overarching gameplay goals. 
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation, providing a clear guide for the team.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Senior, Lead, or Principal Level Designer (or equivalent), developing level layout and world building for high-fidelity games.   
  • Expert understanding of level design layout to bring about the best in player mechanics.
  • Knowledge with visual scripting tools such as Kismet, Blueprint, or their equivalents. 
  • Comprehensive communication skills, particularly with art teams to collaborative on world and location construction. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating levels for AAA Action-Adventure games for PC/Console. 
  • Advanced proficiency with Unreal Engine.
  • Management experience. 

It'll be a bonus if you also have:
Shipped multiple AAA titles.

The pay range for this role includes the annual base salary, not including bonus and the generous benefits package that Crystal Dynamics provides all full-time employees. Individual compensation is determined by work location within our approved states or regions, as well as additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education.
